Photo Madness

My mom and I had this photo taken at a studio. My youngest daughter took it out of the frame and crumpled it up. I scanned it in to the puter where it appeared much larger than I expected. I resized until it was manageable. The scanning and resizing eliminated many of the crumple marks. But a few imperfections remained.

I've circled the crumples and imperfections that I corrected using many of the techniques presented in the lesson. I softened the freckles and tan lines on mom as she sometimes dislikes those freckles. Tuck, tuck here, and tuck, tuck there.

My sister took this photo of my daughter Kristin. I scanned the original black and white into the puter. I used techniques presented in the lessons as well as some filters to age the photo. Then I used the colorizing effect on a second instance.

Little Kristin

This mosaic hangs on the wall at the main entrance of our elementary school. I took a picture of it to use on the school website. I was disappointed with the results.

I used perspective correction, embossing brush, clone tool, brightness contrast adjustment, adjust brightness and crop tool to improve it. Mouseover to see the improvements.

Soccer Shots

Although my daughter Kelly is fast, she wasn't fast enough to keep up with this ball. She's a the far left. I used edge seeker to select her and then put her to where she belongs.

Mouseover to see where she should have been.

Where's Kelly

We took the soccer horse picture below outside the WUSA NY Power stadium at their last home game. We will miss the NY Power and the rest of the WUSA. (The photo above of Kelly was taken on the practice field behind the stadium; you can see the back of the stands in the distance.)

I used various selection tools and settings to islolate the horse and my daughter Grace and move them into a grassy field. Mouseover to see them in the field. I used one-step photo fix on the selection to bring its values closer to those of the daytime shot. Then I tubed it a soccer ball and colorized it.

Hay!
